Late of the Pier (January 2009 @Melkweg) was one of my first and favourite concerts. Gigantic pits in which my friends and I lost shoes, or fell on the floor with everyone jumping on us, strangers who wanted us to take photos of them, films on YouTube in which you can see one of us crowdsurfing (well, you can see his shoe) and of course the band's performance was amazing.

Afterwards there was a party called "Gemengd Zwemmen" and we stayed because we thought the music was amazing. Later one of the guards found us and kicked us out; it turned out the party was meant for 18+ people. We thought it a shame and were quite disappointed, though we had a great time walking back through Amsterdam - till then, we didn't came there that often.

In the train back home we met crazy people, also from Brabant, who said they were fishfarmers because they had two goldfishes at home. Good old days hehe.

When she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine

Last Saturday I decided to ignore my illness and went to Amsterdam - again - to visit a so called flea market in the IJ-hallen with a friend from my study. It was my first time over there, but definitely not my last! I bought way to many records. When I hear the word 'records' I immediately hear John Lennon saying it in one of the live songs of The Beatles I've got. That's one reason why I like the word 'records.' Anyway, the only thing I need now is a record player in my room in Utrecht, because they're so good, I can't just listen them when I'm staying at my parents' house.

Forever and Ever, Amen

2010 werd niet zoals ik verwachtte. De eerste helft was werkelijk verschrikkelijk en ik wil er niet langer aan denken. Vandaar dat mijn overzichtje begint bij de tweede helft van het jaar. Deze andere helft was compleet het tegenovergestelde van de eerste en daarom de moeite van het vermelden waard.
